Ian Maurice Gold (born August 23, 1978 in city-state|Ann Arbor|Michigan) is a former American football linebacker of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan.

A Pro Bowl selection for the Broncos in 2001, Gold played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004 between stints in Denver. He was let go following the 2007 season by the Denver Broncos.

Early years

While attending Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan, Gold starred in football, basketball, and track & field.

Professional career

First stint with Broncos

Ian Gold is a linebacker for the Denver Broncos. After playing for the Broncos in 2004, Gold became a free agent.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In 2004, Gold left to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After the season, he again became a free agent.

econd stint with Broncos

On the market again in 2005, Gold re-joined the Broncos and went to the AFC Championship that same year.

On February 29, 2008 the Broncos released him after three seasons.
