The summit is the tripoint between the regions of Lombardy, South Tyrol and the canton of Graubünden. In Lombardy people speak Italian, in South Tyrol German, and in Graubunden Romansch, therefore the name of the peak in German and Romansch. In Italy it is known as Cima Garibaldi, losing its importance as point of meeting of different cultures.
