The Morbid Owlet (Chytolita morbidalis) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Manitoba to Maine, south to North Carolina and Texas.
The wingspan is 29-35 mm. Adults are on wing from May to August. There seems to be one generation per year.
The larvae feed on dead leaves, although there are records for grass, lettuce, dandelion and hazel.
