Christian Cooper is an author, trader and independent film producer living in New York City. He is the Head of USD Derivatives Trading at Jefferies & Co. in New York City[1] and is a frequent commentator in the Wall Street Journal,[2][1][3][4] Reuters[5][6][7], Financial Times, and Bloomberg News[8][9]. He is the author of the FRM Study Course written for candidates taking the FRM exam.[10] In April 2011, it was announced in Variety he will be executive producing Omphalos starring Edoardo Ballerini[11] and Emmanuelle Chriqui[12].

He is a member of the roundtables at the Washington based think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies[13] currently led by John Hamre, a member of the Aspen Institute Society of Fellows,[14] is the steering committee chair of the Harriman Society at the Truman National Security Project[15], and is a Truman National Security Fellow.[16]

Harriman Society

Christian is the steering committee chair of the Harriman Society at the Truman National Security Project.[15]. The Harriman Society aims to bridge the gap between the business community and economic leaders in Washington D.C.[17]. The advisory board of the Harriman Society consists of Roberth Abernethy, Vincent Mai, Lt. General Don Kerrick, Joseph Klein, and Lt. General Norman Seip.
