Chris Phillips (voice actor)

Chris Phillips is an American voice actor, writer and singer. He studied at Stella Adler and attended Emerson College in Boston, Ma.

Chris might be best known as the voice of the Face mascot on Nick Jr. Face ran from 1994 until 2003. Phillips voiced many characters on the animated series Doug, which aired on both ABC and Nickelodeon (In Disney's version, he also became the voice of Roger Klotz as Billy West left.). Other Cartoons include PB&J Otter for Disney, Beavis & Butthead for MTV, Generation Jets for CBS and Bubble Guppies for Nickelodeon. He also does regular voice work for the award winning PBS show Between The Lions. He’s been in numerous “TV Funhouse” episodes for Saturday Night Live.

Animated film credits include The Felix the Cat Movie 1988 as the Professor, Roger Klotz and various voices in Doug's 1st Movie 1999 and various voices in Osmosis Jones 2001 directed by Bobby & Peter Farrelly.

Chris has voiced a number of computer games as well including Grand Theft Auto 3, Max Payne 1 & 2, Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven and Red Dead Revolver.

His voice has appeared on TV and radio commercials for Comcast, eBay, Rolaids, Arby’s, Cocoa Puffs, Miller Lite, Lucky Charms, NY Lottery, Cingular, Fed Ex and Pepto Bismol to name a few. He also appeared in the Denis Leary special No Cure For Cancer for Showtime and Lock & Load for HBO. Chris directed and appeared in the off Broadway version of No Cure For Cancer. He was also in Learys' holiday special Merry F %$in' Christmas for Comedy Central, (Chris wrote and produced the title song). He will be appearing in the upcoming Leary special Douchebags and Donuts for Comedy Central. Phillips also writes all of Leary's songs with him as well as produces his CD's. He has received a platinum album for the single Asshole.

Chris has written and produced music for American Motors Cars and Ethan Allen Furniture commercials. He co-wrote and performed the theme for Shorties Watching Shorties for Comedy Central and is in the house band for The Comedy Central specials Comics Come Home. Chris and his band The Enablers are the backup band for Denis Leary. They released their own CD entitled Everest. As a young boy, Chris and his sister Pam used to make comedy tapes with a recorder he received from his grandfather. It was then that he got the performing bug.
