Born in East Belfast, Lyttle studied at Queen's University Belfast and Harvard University before working as the Research Assistant for Naomi Long of the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland. In July 2010, he was appointed as Long's replacement on the Northern Ireland Assembly, where he represents Belfast East.[1]
