Leo Carrillo State Park,
Grease" was filmed"'Malibu, California is the closestPacific Ocean beach toThousand Oaks, California . To get to this beach from inland, one must travel a mountain road (eitherDecker Canyon Road {Highway 23 } orMulholland Highway ) which can be quite hazardous. But once on the beach, anRV park , a mountainous beach with a sea cave, and a cove are available to the beachgoer. Atlow tide thetide pools can be explored. If one travels the Pacific Coast Highway to get to the park, it appears less exceptional, and is quite easily ignored. However, this beach is the only one with a sea cave on the entire Santa Monica mountain range.
The park was named for the California actor,
