Much of Pritom's music focuses on religious equality, class stratification, contemporary urban life, socio-economic and political domination, and ruling of Bangladesh.

Career
Pritom professionally started work on music in 1995. His first mix album album came 1999 and solo album came 2002. He has been working on different aspects of media, including singing both in Bangladesh and abroad. Recently,[when?] he signed a contract for his International English duet album. Pritom also did a lot of international tours where he performed in his own style in countries like the UK, US, Italy, KSA, India.
On June 24, 2010, Pritom Ahmed became the first Bengali and Bangladeshi singer to perform at world famous Cotton Club in New York.
