Chithara town is the home to many educational establishments,govt offices etc. Govt.HSS, APRM TTI,APRM Central School, Jamia BEd College, Service Cooperative Bank, Govt.LPS, Chithara Juma-Masjid,Sree Krishnan Kovil Temple,Telephone Exchange, Sub-registrar office, Agriculture office like offices are in here, Akshaya Centre, lot of shops,private bank, an hour travel to Trivandrum Airport, 20 Minutes to MC Road.
