Clarke, 1947Chionodes petalumensis is a small moth of the family Gelechiidae.[1] It is found in California,[2] and western North America.[3]
Oaks
The Chionodes petalumensis caterpillars feed on oak leaves, including those of the Garry Oak (Quercus garryana) [4] and Valley Oak (Quercus lobata), of the California oak woodlands in the chaparral and woodlands ecoregion.[verification needed].
