Clinus nematopterus, known commonly as the Chinese klipfish in South Africa,[1] is a species of clinid in the genus Clinus.[2] It is a subtropical blenny which, despite its common name, is endemic to South Africa, in the southeastern Atlantic Ocean.[2] It was named by A. Günther in 1861,[3] and can reach a maximum length of 11 centimetres.[2] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of amphipods, isopods, ostracods, and finfish.[4]
