ChinaCache, Inc. It began operating in 2000. In 2009, ChinaCache account for 53% market share in terms of revenue in 2009, according to iResearch Consulting Group. It was the first company that is not a telecommunications carrier to obtain from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, a nationwide operating permit to provide content and application delivery services.[citation needed]

History
In 2007, ChinaCache received $31.5 million investment from Intel Capital and Ignition Partners. In the same year, it also announced a new partnership with RawFlow, a provider of live peer-to-peer streaming technologies.
In 2008, ChinaCache Partners with Adobe Systems to Offer New Generation of Flash Video Streaming Service in China.[1] Built with Adobe Flash Media Server and integrated directly into the CDN delivery, tracking, and reporting infrastructure, Flash Video Streaming Service provides an effective way to deliver FLV and H.264 files to the largest possible audience. As a result of this partnership, ChinaCache provides live and on-demand streaming services across a content delivery network to Adobe Flash Player. ChinaCache is the first Adobe Flash Vide Streaming Service partner in the China market.[2]
In 2008, ChinaCache announced support for Microsoft Silverlight, a cross-platform and cross-browser plug-in.
ChinaCache provided CDN services to support the 2008 Olympic Games. ChinaCache provided CDN services during the Games such as Web Caching, Flash Video (FLV) acceleration, Live Streaming, P2SP Live Streaming and Video-on-Demand(VOD). All CDN services were provided to cover both opening and closing ceremonies, as well as all games between August 6 and 24.[3]
In July 2009, ChinaCache announced that it was selected by Mozilla Online Ltd, the provider of Firefox in the Chinese mainland, to deliver downloads in the region. The Firefox browser and related Mozilla downloads will be cached and distributed in China utilizing ChinaCache's edge servers in "more than 80 cities".[4]
In October 2010, ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd. goes public and announces Pricing of Initial Public Offering on the NASDAQ Global Market.The initial public offering of 6,060,980 American depositary shares ("ADSs"), each representing 16 ordinary shares of the Company, was priced at $13.90 per ADS. The ADSs began trading on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol "CCIH." Of the 6,060,980 ADSs being offered, 5,014,100 ADSs are offered by ChinaCache, and 1,046,880 ADSs are offered by the selling shareholders. The underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 909,147 ADSs from ChinaCache. [5]

In December 2010, ChinaCache Further Expands Its Presence in the Network Convergence Market by signing a service agreement with Zhejiang Radio and Television Group (ZTV), a leading local TV station in Zhejiang province, China, for content and application delivery services.[7]
In January 2011, ChinaCache Signs Multiple Service Agreements With China Mobile Subsidiaries. ChinaCache signed service agreements with three provincial subsidiaries of China Mobile, including China Mobile Guizhou, China Mobile Xinjiang and China Mobile Henan, as well as three of China Mobile's municipal operators in the province of Jiangsu, China Mobile Suzhou, China Mobile Nanjing and China Mobile Yancheng, for content and application delivery services.[8]
In February 2011, ChinaCache and QIYI Reach Content and Application Delivery Service Agreement. QIYI.com (QIYI),a leading Internet video company in China. [9]
