Chidambaram taluk is a taluk of Cuddalore district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Chidambaram.
Population
According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Chidambaram had a population of 409,047 with 204,264 males and 204,783 females. There were 1003 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 75.53. The total number of households was 91,026.
