Chhatrapati Shivaji Institute of Technology (CSIT) is Engineering College in Durg, Pulgaon, India. CSIT is an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recognized institute and is affiliated to Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University.

Location

This institute was started in 1998 for Technical Education in Bhilai. The institute is located on Durg – Balod, Dallirajhara Road at Shivaji Nagar near Kolihapuri, Dist. Durg (C.G.), 4 km away from the Collectorate and 6 km from the Railway station, Durg.

the college has also taken AICTE approval for the M.E. courses in Computer Science and Electronics and Telecom.. deptt. According to the recent survey, the college has topped the rank among 54 colleges of chhhattisgarh in placement by placing more than 115 student in just a month in reputed companies like NR switches, Cognitel,etc. The 4 years duration is divided into 8 semesters of 6 months each following which the semester exam is carried out to evaluate the performance of the students.

Now the evaluation is done on the basis of grade system but earlier the following pattern was applied:

For the 1st and 2nd semester out of 1000 marks evaluation is done For the next 6 semesters out of 900 marks evaluation is done The final percentage is done by totaling the marks obtained 10% from 1st year + 20% from 2nd year + 20% from 3rd year + 100% from final year.
