General characteristics Type: Steamship Tonnage: 667 grt Length: 209.1 feet Beam: 26.3 feet Installed power: 140nhp Propulsion: Steam 2cyl Speed: 9 knots The SS Cheduba was the third ship built at A and J Inglis, Pointhouse, Glasgow with Yard No 3.[1] She was probably built in collaboration with Archibald Denny Dumbarton under their Yard No 27 and launched on Saturday, 18 April 1863.[2]
Cheduba was owned by British India Steam Navigation Company Glasgow. She was lost with all hands in Bay of Bengal on her passage from Calcutta to Rangoon and sunk on 15 May 1869.
