History
Formation/Breaking The Silence
The band was formed in early 2006 by childhood friends Darin Reagan and Steve Cross. later that year after meeting him on their Track and Field team, Kevin Ambrosich became the third member of the band. They went through several name changes and line up changes until November 2009 when they were contacted by Mark Weider about joining the band. When Mark joined they picked friend Brian Lindsey to play drums and they started writing music under the name Breaking The Silence. In April 2010 the band released a 4 song demo CD that they gave out at their high schools for free. The band started playing shows in June 2010.[5]
Chasing Morgan, The Breakfast Special and present
After playing a few shows in the summer of 2010, the band decided to change their name to avoid copyright issues.[6] Later that summer they announced that they would change their name to Chasing Morgan.[7]
In November 2010 Chasing Morgan started recording their debut EP at Orca Sound Studios with producer Kevin Johnston.[8] Chasing Morgan's debut EP The Breakfast Special was self released by the band in February 2011. AbsolutePunk.net reviewed the EP, giving it an overall positive review saying "this EP is strangely well-produced for such a young band" and "this EP is an impressive release for a group of high school kids"[9] During the summer of 2011 Chasing Morgan played at the Maryland Stop of the Vans Warped Tour 2011
The band is currently writing material for their debut full length album.[10]
