Early life
Charlotte Tilbury grew up on the island of Ibiza where she developed her sense of creativity and fresh outlook on life. She was influenced by her artist father and the free-thinking environment that encouraged artistic expression. At age 11, Charlotte met the make-up artist Mary Greenwell who mentored her throughout her career as she rose through the ranks in the fashion and beauty industry.
Career/Celebrity Clients
The world’s most glamorous celebs call on Charlotte to create iconic, red-carpet looks. She counts Kate Moss, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez and countless others as clients and friends. She has worked with designers such as Cavalli, Givenchy, Armani and Moschino as well as working on editorial shoots for magazines like Vogue, W Magazine and Love. And each year Charlotte works with the world’s top designers to create the cosmetic colour palettes for their fashion shows. In the UK "Charlotte has become as recognizable as her celebrity clients".[1] She was one of a select few asked to design a T-shirt for Gap's RED campaign. Charlotte has been working as a professional make-up artist for 17 years over during which time she has served as creative director for Helena Rubenstein Cosmetics. Personal life
Charlotte married writer Charles Forbes in Ibiza in 2006. Her wedding has often been referred to as "the biggest party since Studio 54". Some of the celebrities on the guest list included Kate Moss and Mario Testino.[3]
