Dayton TrianglesCharles Howgate Guy (December 5, 1896 – April 9, 1974) was a professional American football player for the Detroit Heralds, Detroit Tigers, Buffalo All-Americans, Cleveland Indians, and the Dayton Triangles. He was named to the 1923 NFL All-Pro team.[1] He attended Washington & Jefferson College and Dartmouth College.[2]
His son, Charlie Guy, Jr., graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1946. He played on the Navy lacrosse team and received the Schmeisser Award as the nation's best defenseman.[3]
