History
Charlie Levi and Alex Weil set up Charlex in 1979 to work on commercials. In 1983, they directed a music video for The Cars, "You Might Think". In 1984, they were awarded the "Video of the Year" MTV Video Music Award in 1984 for directing this.
Charlex became more successful as the end of the 1980s came near; by 1990, their portfolio included the opening titles for Saturday Night Live and National Geographic Explorer, network ID's for Nickelodeon, HA!, Nick at Nite, and Myers Rum, and tons of commercials and music videos.
