Charles Cornish

The Rt Rev Charles Edward Cornish was an Anglican Bishop in the very late 19th [1] and early 20th centuries[2].
He was born on 9 October 1842, educated at Uppingham and Exeter College, Oxford [3] and ordained in 1870. After a curacy at St George’s, Bristol he held incumbencies St Peter and St Paul, South Petherton and St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol[1]. In 1899 he was appointed Bishop of Grahamstown[4], a post he held for 16 years[5]. He died on 14 July 1936[6].
