Charampa

Charampa is a small yet important commercial centre 6 km away from Bhadrak town. Charampa is located on National Highway 5 near Bhadrak. There is also a famous Jain site in the district, which has yielded a large hoard of Jaina images during excavations.

There is a railway station in the heart of the place, the only one in the entire Bhadrak. Important educational institutions include Happy Home school, Charampa College, St.Xaviers school, Charampa Girls High school, RCBL high school and ITI near canal road.

Charampa is famous for Kalipuja held every year with pomp and show. The festival continues for 7 days with a lot of tourists visiting. It is also famous for a BCCI affiliated tournament Biren Pallai Memorial Cricket tournament held every year end.
