Chapri is small village located to the north of Cherat Cantt. It is a very narrow valley with fresh water streams running from Cherat mountain. Since, the time of British this village has a Government Primary School. Till 90's, this was the only school for boys and girls. More recently a Government girls school and few private schools are established. Although, most of the children prefer to go to these private school and has major contribution towards increasing the education ratio of the village. However, very less number of these children reach to higher level of studies. When I look back I can see that more students got higher degrees at the time of the single primary school as compared to the recent good numbers of schools. It means that the standard of education degraded with time too.Which raise questions about the standard of these schools. The village lack many basic facilities specially health.
