Chalivendrapalem is a village in the Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, India. The village is 22 kilometers away from Vijayawada, and 7 kilometers from Kankipadu (Mandal HQ). Since the founding of the village around 1700, the people of the village have made their living primarily through agriculture, particularly paddy, sugarcane, kanda, and pasupu. The village also contains poultry farms. A small, naturally formed canal of the river Krishna passes through the middle of the village. The village facilities include one primary panchayat office and a water tank. All the buses that travel from Vijayawada to Machalipatnam pass through Chalivendrapalem by way of the state highway, which bisects the village. It features three temples,: one each for Lord Rama, Lord Saibaba, and Lord Hanuman.
The village has a population of approximately 800. Most of the people living in the village belong to Reddy community. In addition to the Reddy community, there are Yadav, Gowda, Lambadi, Chakali, and Kummari communities. 60% of the people belong to congress and 40% to TDP[clarification needed] . The village has had no serious criminal cases since its formation. Konda Rami Reddy has been elected as president twice. Devireddy Radha Krishna Reddy, who is 76, has served as Panchayat President for 25 years.
