They were formed in 1969. Both 1st and 2nd teams played in the BB Old Boys League before the 1st team joined the Ballymena Intermediate League around 1999-2000 and were crowned Champions in 2001-2002. The 1st team have also won the McReynolds Cup in 2002-03 & 2004-05 and the Crawford Cup 2003-04. Past Managers include E. Worthington (brother of the current Northern Ireland Manager

On 15th August they were scheduled to play their first league match against Kilbride Swifts but it was Post Poned. On 8th September, they would play their first league match against Dunloy which they would lose 3-2. They had their first league win on 29th September against Ballycastle United with the score finishing 2-1. On 6th October they would defeat Connor 2-0 and then on 13th October they would have their first 1-1 draw against Clough Rgrs. On 10th November they would defeat Cookstown Athletic an astounding 10-0. They would win their next two league games. On 8th December their match against Raceview F.C. was Post Poned. On 15th December they would defeat Rasharkin United 6-0. Their next two matches would be Post Poned. They would have their first loss since winning 4 legue games in a row to Raceview F.C. 1-0 on the 12th January. Their next league match would be Post Poned. They would win their next four games. Their next two matches were post poned. On 15th March they would defeat Rasharkin and the following week they would lose to Mosside. The next week their match against Dunloy was Post Poned. On 2nd April they would have their first goaless draw against Connor. They would win their next four legue matches. And then win in the first round of the O'Gorman cup. On 19th April they would beat Dunloy 1-0. They would then win the second round of the O'Gorman Cup. They would then win their next three league games with the third winning 10-0 again this time against Demense Strollers. 2 days after their 10-0 victory they would win 1-0 against Desertmartin. They would lose their next league match. Then draw 2-2 their 1 before last game. And their last game was against already announced champions Mosside which Ballynure OB's would win 3-0 and become Runners up even though they defeated champions on the last day. Ballynure Old Boys would play 28 games win 21, draw 3 and lose 4. Crawford Cup
In the Crawford cup they would reach the third round until being put out by champions Mosside 5-1. Their first round match against Clough Rgrs was Post Poned twice and they would finally play on the 1st September which they would win 3-2. Qualifing them for the Second Round. On 22nd September, in the Second round they would play Desertmartin and win 3-0. Qualifing them for the Third Round. On 20th October they would play Mosside and lose 5-1. Effectively putting them out of the Crawford Cup.
O'Gorman Cup
In the O'Gorman cup they would reach the third round until being put out by Dunloy 4-1. On 15th April they would play their first round match was against Ballycastle United which they would win 3-0. Qualifing them for the second round. On 22nd April they would play their second round match against Dunaghy winning 3-1. Qualifing them for the third round. On 6th May they would play Dunloy in the third round with the score finishing 4-1. Effectively putting them out of the O'Gorman Cup.
Intermediate Cup
In the Intermediate cup they would reach the second round until being put out by Banbridge Town 4-0. On 3rd November they would play their first round match against 1st Bangorwhich they would win 3-2. Qualifing them for the second round. On 1st December in the second round they would lose to Banbridge Town 4-0. Effectively putting them out of the Intermediate Cup.
Steel & Sons Cup
On 25th August, they would be put out of the Steel & Sons cup in the First Round by Glebe Rangers with the score finishing 2-0.
Irish Cup
On 15th September, they would be put out of the Irish Cup in the First Round by Orangefield Old Boys with the score finishing 4-1.
McReynold's Cup
On 19th January they would be put out of the McReynold's Cup in the First Round by Raceview FC with the score finishing 4-2.
2008/09 Season
Current Squad
Premier Division
They were scheduled to play their first league match on 16th August against Dunaghy however it was Post Poned. On 26th August they played their first league match against Connor winning 4-2 giving them their first league win. On 30th August they defeated Portglenone 6-2. On 13th September they continued their league winning streak by defeating Ballycastle United. Their winning streak would end when they drew 1-1 against Raceview on the 20th September. On 27th September they defeated Clough Rangers 6-1. Steel and Son's Cup
They were put out in the second round of Steel and Son's Cup as opposed to last years first round. On 23rd August they defeated Downshire 2-1. Qualifing them for the second round. On 6th September, in the second round of the Steel and Son's Cup they played FC Larne losing 3-1. Effectively putting them out of the Steel and Son's Cup and giving them their first loss this season.
Crawford Cup
They were put out of the Crawford Cup in the first round as opposed to last years third round. On 12th August 2008 they would lose to local rivals FC Ballynure 2-1. Effectively putting them out of the Crawford Cup.
Irish Cup
