Among other TV roles, he is best known for his role as "Gus Aitoro" on the long-running soap opera "Guiding Light". He portrayed the role from 2001 until his character was killed off on April 1, 2008 and has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards.

Prior to "Guiding Light", Goldin was best known for portraying Dean Frame on the soap opera "Another World". He played that role from 1990 to 1993, from 1994 to 1995, and again briefly in 1998. He also appeared on daytime TV in "The Young and the Restless" in the role of stalker Gary Dawson (1999-2000, 2001).

Goldin has appeared in several promotions on behalf of "Guiding Light". It was announced on March 5, 2008 (a week after he announced he would be leaving the role of Gus on "Guiding Light") that Goldin would be joining "All My Children" in the recast role of Dr. Jake Martin.
