Robert Fripp andThomas Fehlmann worked on the "FFWD". Soon after the release of "FFWD" in August 1994, Weston suddenly quit The Orb to pursue his own projects. Paterson claimed that Weston's desparture was due to Weston's desire to have more control over The Orb's projects.cite news|last=Doerschuck |first=Robert |work =Keyboard Magazine |month=June |year=1995 |title=Inside the Ambient Techno Ultraworld] However, in an interview with "i-D ", Weston reportedly attributed the split to Paterson, saying that Paterson "never did 50% of the work."cite news|work=The Guardian |last=Simpson |first=Dave |date=2001-01-19 |page=6 |title=The Friday Interview] cite web|url = http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/1995_articles/jul95/orb.html?print=yes&session=119fcebac12803b1bbe14502fde48fcd |title = JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE ORB |accessdate=2007-04-21 |work =Sound on Sound |date=1995-07-01 |first = Mark |last = Prendergast]Post-Orb
