Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict also known as GPPAC was founded in Soesterberg Holland in June 2003.It was formed in response to a call by Kofi Annan to prevent civil conflict.It is a Global civil society based network to build a new international consensus on peacebuilding and the prevention of violent conflict.It has over 15 regional Branches.
