Honey Brown quickly gained notoriety and won awards, most notably the gold medal at the 2004 Beer Cup.

The company now produces 6 craft beers consecutively: Kolsch-style, Stout, Pale Bock, Porter, Pale Ale, and India Pale Ale.

The company also produced 4 seasonal craft beers: Irish Red Lager (Spring), Summer Wheat (Summer), Oktoberfest (Fall), Festive Ale (Winter).

The company also produces the Original Honey Brown Lager.

Recently the brewery has begun making private label beers for super markets, including Wingwalker for Kroger.

History

J.W. Dundee's Honey Brown Original Lager was first produced in 1994. The Company added Amber Lager and Pale ale in 2006 along with some seasonal selections. In 2008, the company re-branded all the "J.W. Dundee's" products as simply "Dundee Ales & Lagers", including Honey Brown.

In early 2010, under North American Breweries ownership, the company removed Honey Brown from the Dundee lineup and returned this product to "The original honey brown lager". New craft beer brands and seasonal selections were added to the Dundee Ales and Lagers family.

Ales & Lagers

Original Honey Brown Lager

ABV: 4.5%, IBU: 10
Gold Award Winner of the 2004 World Beer Cup: Special Honey Lager or Ale Category, this lager is brewed with pure clover honey. It has a golden color and has a distinctive clover-like sweetness.

Dundee Kolsch-style

ABV: 5.68%, IBU: 25
A traditional German Maibock light golden color. Malty and less hoppy, with a hint of wheat.

Dundee Pale Bock

ABV: 6.25%, IBU: 10.5
A German-style lager from the Koln (Cologne) region Maibock with a golden color. Malty and less hoppy.

Dundee Porter

ABV: 6.5%, IBU: 30
Dark-roasted grains give this ale a deep color, complimenting a caramel taste. Relatively large amounts of hops are used to balance the flavor of the roasted malts, resulting in fairly high IBU rating but not a particularly bitter flavor.

Dundee Wheat Beer

ABV: 4.2%, IBU: 18
Unfiltered wheat beer that gives it a natural cloudiness

Dundee Pale Ale

ABV: 5.3%, IBU: 35
More toward the hoppy side, this ale has an amber hue and a citrusy aroma.

Dundee India Pale Ale

ABV: 6.3%, IBU: 60
An aggressively hopped ale with primary flavor characteristics of floral and citrus bitterness, contributed by the amount of hops in the beer.

Dundee Oktoberfest

ABV: 5.5%, IBU: 17
(available August to November) A Marzen-style lager brewed in the German tradition. The amber color and the rich malt sweetness is a transition from light summer beers and hearty winter brews.

Dundee Festive Ale

ABV: 6.2%, IBU: 30
(available November to January) An ale with various seasonal spices that include flavors that hint at cinnamon and pumkpin and leaves a hearty aftertaste, displayed as a rich mahogany color.

Dundee Irish Lager

ABV: 5.0%, IBU: 25
(available February to May) An Irish style red lager with a full body and a deep red color.

Dundee Summer Wheat

ABV: 4.5%, IBU: 18
(available June to August) An American wheat beer, with crisp orange flavoring and a cloudy wheat filled body.
