JoAnn Giordano is an American
textile art ist and curator who has exhibited since 1977. An international artist, her work has shown inMexico andJapan . She has exhibited at prestigious American venues, including theCleveland Museum of Art . A popular art educator, Giordano has taught classes since 1979, including classes sponsored by the Cleveland Museum of Art,LaGuardia Community College ,Young Audiences of Greater Cleveland , andKent State University . She has designed curricula in the contemporaryart quilt ,painting , andprinting withdye on fabric, and similar subjects.Giordano has been acknowledged for her curatorial skills in the
Detroit, Michigan region. At theCreative Arts Center on 47 Williams Avenue inPontiac, Michigan , she juried their exhibition.Giordano has studied at
Purdue University ,Rhode Island School of Design , and theCranbrook Academy of Art . In 1988, she earned an MFA inFiber from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
