Dueir

Dueir = دوير

Dueir is about 1 km far from Chalaaboun.

It is an old village on the north west of Ain Ebel, where Ernest Renan found many interesting historical monuments, like wine press jars and old temple and an interesting cameo relief representing Apollon & Artemis ( Two Greek Gods - Artemis is the twin sister of Appolon, both of them children of Zeus and Leto ).

This relief was carefully cut by the villagers of Ain Ebel and deported to the Louvre where it is now in the Oriental antiquities gallery.( read Mission de Phénicie (1865-1874))
