Koduvayur

Koduvayur is a small town in Palakkad district of Kerala state, south India. It is roughly around 10 km south of Palakkad town. It comes under Chittur Taluk of Palakkad district. About a quarter of the local population depends upon Koduvayur for their day-to-day needs like vegetables & other groceries, cloth and meat products as this place acts as a hub for merchandise coming from Coimbatore and Pollachi in Tamil Nadu. Most of the people here talk in Malayalam. Some also have Tamil as their Mother tongue. But almost all of them can understand Tamil and may also be able to answer any queries made in Tamil. All nearby towns like Alathur, Nemmara, Palakkad, Chittoor, Kollangode & Pollachi are easily accessible and well connected. Frequent buses are available to anf from these places to Koduvayur Market. Koduvayur is a business center for the south-west region of Palakkad district.
