Dow JonesTha Bizness is an American hip hop production duo from
Seattle, Washington consisting of J-Hen & Dow Jones.Biography
Born and raised in
Seattle, Washington , the production duo, who are cousins, were inspired by artists such as Teddy Riley,DJ Premier ,Mannie Fresh andDJ Toomp . Upon graduating with a degree in Business Management fromMorehouse College inAtlanta , Dow returned to Seattle, searching for the opportunity in music, while putting his degree to good use. Ultimately it was his biggest influence, a member of the originalRock Steady Crew , that allowed Dow to see deejaying as an actual art form, inspiring him to launch a career in music. J-Hen however, had been focusing more on being a keyboardist and producer. Realizing they had reached a certain level in Seattle that couldn’t be surpassed, they decided to take their career's to the next level relocating to Los Angeles in 2002. Determined to start their own production company the two worked together combining Dow's techniques as a deejay and J-Hen's talent on the keyboards.cite web |url=http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/features/id.971/title.producers-corner-tha-bizness/p.1 |title=Producer's Corner: Tha Bizness |publisher=Dork Magazine |date=2007-12-16 |accessdate=2008-10-01]In 2006, Tha Bizness signed a production deal with G-Unit’s Sha Money XL’s, "Teamwork Music Inc".
