THE SHOW is a Rock Band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. It is comprised of Beejae Ainsworth (aka Johnny Saint Lethal), Brandon Mitchell, Jeff Bets, and Josh Kranitz.
THE SHOW was formed in 2007 when singers Brandon Mitchell and Beejae Ainsworth were driving back to Pittsburgh after a Northeast double-headlining solo tour. It was then they discussed forming the band. A month later Beejae's friend and artist Jeff Bets officially joined the band at what was Beejae and Brandon Mitchell's last solo show to date on September 22, 2007, at the Rhythm House.
The three founding members of The Show picked up drummer Josh Kranitz through an ad in late-November of 2007 and he officially became a member in December 2007. Rehearsals commenced for a debut show that had been scheduled at Pittsburgh's prestigious Rex Theatre. That debut show on February 9, 2008, was nearly sold out (50 tickets shy) and played alongside We Are Not Rebels, Terry Meyer, and 28 North. The show was a success. That first performance of drunken stage antics gave the band an immediate reputation.
Not until serveral concerts later were The Show established as the "real deal" rather than overzealous energetic kids. The band had what were being called "solid songs". The Show took these tunes on the road in the spring of 2008 before going back to Pittsburgh to begin rehearsals to record their debut album.
Recording of The Show's debut album began on August 11, 2008. The release is slated for February of 2009. In the meanwhile, The Show are doing some one-off concerts to begin hype for the first album.
