Ellis Short (born in Independence, Missouri) is a Dallas based American businessman, multi-millionaire, and president of Lone Star Funds [ [http://www.adb.org/AnnualMeeting/2002/Seminars/cvs/cv-short_ellis.html] ] based in Texas.

Business activities

In 2003, Short, with the Lone Star financial group masterminded the takeover of the South Korean Korea Exchange Bank, and in 2008 his group also took over the IKB Deutsche Industriebank.Fact|date=September 2008 Personally, Short had previously purchased Skibo Castle in Scotland for £23 million.Fact|date=September 2008

In September 2008 Ellis Short bought a 30% stake in the English Premier League football team Sunderland A.F.C. becoming the majority shareholder at that club with the Irish Drumaville Consortium. Personal life
