Integrated Risk Management Services (IRMS) is the name of a private security company based in Naas, Ireland. It is owned by Terry Downes and James Farrell. Farrell is a former member of the Irish Army Rangers. IRMS provides security for the compound surrounding the intended landfall of the controversial Corrib gas pipeline at Glengad beach in Erris, County Mayo. In July 2008, it was reported that some of its employees had been filming children on the beach near the compound [irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2008/0729/1217279097119.html 'Paradise' lost for residents of 'God's own country' in Mayo] . The firm works closely with An Garda Síochána in repelling incursions to the Royal Dutch Shell compound by Shell to Sea campaigners, who are opposed to the pipeline route (see Corrib gas controversy). IRMS has a subsidiary, IRMS Africa, based in Nairobi.
