Hunter Valley , 4km northwest of Scone,Australia .History
In 1937,
No. 3 Squadron RAAF aircraft, including Hawker Demon andAvro Anson , together with a Aerodrome Defence Crew camped at "Nandowra Aerodrome".During
World War II , theRoyal Australian Air Force utilised Nandowra Aerodrome as an emergency landing ground.The airport is home to the Scone Aero Club and also located at the airport is the largest museum of actual flying Warbirds in Australia which hosted Warbirds Over Scone, a series of Airshows held in October 1998, 2001 and 2003.
