Red Coffee is an Australian coffee bean wholesaler located in Mill Park, Victoria.

History

Red coffee is the brain child of founders Gary Takle and Geoff Healey, conceived in April 2008. With the decline in popularity of coffee chain store Starbucks in Australia, Healey and Takle came to the conclusion that higher quality coffee was becoming far more sought after. They created Red Coffee in an attempt to capitalise on the new trend and fill the need that the market displayed.

Products

Red Coffee currently has two varieties of coffee beans available - The Signature Roast and the Single Origin Reserve.

The Signature Roast is Red's flagship coffee bean. It is dark roasted from three distinct beans. The first bean comes from select high grown farms in the Colombian Huila Region. This bean was chosen for its very sweet aftertaste. The second is the Brazil Santos, named after the port where Brazil's famous coffees pass through. Santos yields a low acidic, light bodied brew. The third, the PNG Sigri, originates from the saplings of the famous Jamaican blue mountain coffee. [ [http://www.redcoffee.com.au/signatureroast.html "Signature Roast"] ]

The Single Origin Reserve is Red Coffee's upmarket brand. It is made from Arabica beans, grown at 1500 metres in altitude in Ethiopia. [ [http://www.redcoffee.com.au/singleorigin.html "Single Origin Reserve"] ]
