Black Lung Inner City Choir

About

The Black Lung Inner City Choir is a trio that was formed in Taiwan, by three Canadian Musicians.

The Black Lung Inner City Choir was formed in 2003 in Taichung Taiwan by Nick Fothergill, Pat Reid, and Brad Whitmore. They have since played over 300 live shows in Taiwan, Canada, and other parts of Asia.

The Black Lung Inner City Choir works to bridge cultural gaps and engage both the expatriate community and the local Taiwanese and aboriginal communities. The band engages the audiences with spoken mandarin Chinese and also sings some songs in Chinese and Taiwanese.

It has been 3 years since The Black Lung Inner City Choir released their debut album "If I Leave For home". Over the following 3 years, they have built up a devoted international audience - from their current stomping grounds of Taiwan all the way to their native Canada.

A band of great depth and versatility - whether at concert venues, outdoor festivals, or in smaller settings, The Black Lung Inner City Choir has the ability to make the audience feel welcome and engaged.
