MKS Integrity

MKS Integrity is an enterprise software tool that provides Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) capabilities spanning requirements management, software change and configuration management, test management and release management disciplines.

Distinguishing Features

MKS Inc. has built the capabilities for each of the disciplines defined under ALM on top of a single platform rather than a series of distinct tools integrated into each other. This concept is for software development what Product lifecycle management is for hardware product development. Also supported are Software product lines are reuse at the object level.

Integrity supports Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMi), Service Oriented Architecture(SOA), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and Requirements Interchange Format (RIF).

hortcomings

An important part of ALM is software modeling or Model-driven engineering. Currently Integrity has no capabilities in this area.

Competitors

Other tools in this general space include Microsoft Visual Studio Team System, Borland Management Studio, Serena Software, and IBM with RUP and IBM Jazz.
