Piranpattu

Piranpattu (Tamil-பிரான்பற்று)is a village in the northern Jaffna District of Sri Lanka. Pandateruppu is the town for the Piranpattu. It is a natural location. It is also was known as Pirampaththai. It is a famous village in the Valikamam Zone. There are over 500 families in the village at the moment. but there are number of people living in European and American Countries. they have gone abroad. because of war and employment reasons. Two G.S division in that Piranpattu. J/146 and J/147. There is a school call as J/Piranpattu Kalaimagal Vidyalayam. There are number of temples in Piranpattu and Two temples are very big and famous. Piranpattu Periyavalavu Murugamoorthy temple and Piranpattu Alayampathi sri muththumari ampal temlp(பிரான்பற்று பெரியவளவு முருகமூர்த்தி ஆலயம், பிரான்பற்று ஆலயம்பதி ஸ்ரீமுத்துமாரியம்மன் தேவஸ்தானம்). there is a another famous temple call as puliyadi amman (புளியடி அம்மன்).
There are lot of Vairavar temples which are Sooriya vairavar, Mullaiyadi Vairavar, Gnana Vairavar, Linga vairavar, Iluppadi vairavar and Sudalai vairavar. also there is a Veerapaththirar temple and a Pechchiyamman temple.There is a nursery call as Sri Murugan Mun Palli( The education for free). also. there are two kind of health care center(hospital) one is Piranpattu Primary Health care center. other one is Piranpattu Ayurveda hospital. there is a Samurthy Bank union which is common to some villages also. Most of the peoples' religion is Hindu. There are 3 community centers.
The important Organizations are Piranpattu rural development Organization and Piranpattu Rural development association. Piranpattu rural development organization has introduced some technical courses to village people. Computer training. Sweep, wiring and etc. It's very helpful to village people.
