Barangay San Jose Sico, Batangas City (Filipino: Barangay San Jose Sico, Lungsod ng Batangas) is a rural village located along the northern east section of Batangas City, Province of Batangas, Philippines. Electric supplies are both powered by MERALCO in the west and the rest are to Batelec II while portable water is shared by some individual artesian wells and pumping stations. The Batangas-Dagatan Jeepneys Association is the main source of public transportation for villagers, goods, and visitors. Farming is one of the oldest individual family businesses here in Brgy. San Jose Sico, Batangas City.

Strategic Location and Topography

Brgy. San Jose Sico is located just north of Brgy. Talumpok East, Batangas City; west of Brgy. Mapulo, Taysan, Batangas; east of Brgy. Bilogo, Batangas City and south of Ibaan Municipality. Generally, the distance between Brgy. San Jose Sico and Poblacion, Batangas City is situated about 9 km (6 mi)The land contains much of rolling hills, highlands, creeks and few plains. Forest is quite dominant while most of its inhabitants lives at the southeast section of the vicinity, establishing Brgy. San Jose Sico as one of the most highly populated barangays in Batangas City. Two large creeks circulate around Brgy. San Jose Sico, the Talumpok and Katmon Rivers which both serves as the boundary of the barangay in north, east and south locations.

Barangay Communities

Brgy. San Jose Sico is quite popular among the barangays of Batangas City because of it's different existing communities. The Relocation Site is one of most popular place here in Brgy. San Jose Sico. However, it is regarded as one of the most dangerous place in Batangas City because of its high number of crimes and quarrels. The Batangas City Jail is located along the height part of this community.

Most of the Gawad Kalinga or GK Villages in Batangas City are located in Brgy. San Jose Sico. Here, there are approximately five up to seven villages supported and associated mainly by the Couples For Christ. There are four schools located in Brgy. San Jose Sico, two of that are public schools (San Jose Sico and Bagong Silang Elementary Schools), one is however private (Godgrace Learning Center) and the rest is exclusive only for Gawad Kalinga's child villagers (Sibol School).

The Batangas City's Dumpsite is located far northwest of Brgy. San Jose Sico, away from the residencial communities. This place serves as the official landfill of Batangas City.

Sitio Cumba is one of the biggest subdivisional areas in Brgy. San Jose Sico. This contains few houses, creeks and large forests.
