Tropical Storm Ian

The name Ian has been used for a total of five tropical cyclones worldwide: two in the Western Pacific Ocean and three in the Southwestern Pacific Ocean.

Western Pacific:
* 1987's Typhoon Ian - no threat land.
* 1996's Tropical Storm Ian (Japan Meteorological Agency analyzed it as a tropical depression, not as a tropical storm.) - approached Japan.

Southwest Pacific Ocean:
* 1982's Cyclone Ian
* 1992's Cyclone Ian - struck Western Australia.
* 1997's Cyclone Ian
