The Paulding County school district is composed of thity-three schools as of 2009-2010. These schools are divided accordingly: twenty elementary schools, seven middle schools, and five high schools.[3]

Parent involvement
Every school in Paulding County has a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) or a Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). These associations allow teachers, students and parents to hold confences to discuss the means of ensuring that the student achieves his or her goals. The PTA and PTSA meetings are held either before school start or immediately afterward.
Budget problem
The school district is in a 22-33 million dollar deficit. On May 4, 2010 a board meeting was held.
- Teachers who were hired in 2008 or later would lose their jobs.
- After-school activities in elementary schools would no longer be controlled by the PCSD.
- Middle school sports (cheerleading, football, etc.) would no longer be controlled by the PCSD.
- Classroom ratios would be increased (to almost 40 students per classroom).
