Iowa Highway 143 is a state highway which runs north-south in northwestern Iowa. The highway has a length of 12 miles.

Route description

Iowa Highway 143 begins at an intersection with Iowa Highway 3 south of Marcus. It continues north through Marcus and continues north to pass just west of Germantown. The highway ends when it intersects Iowa Highway 10 east of Granville.

History

Iowa Highway 143 originally only went between what was then Iowa Highway 5 (modern Iowa Highway 3) and Marcus, but was extended north to Iowa 10 in 1937. Between 1941 and 1961, the highway extended south to the Woodbury/Cherokee county border near Correctionville.Iowahighwaysref|lowrg=140|hirng=159|num=143|access_date=2008-09-22]
