Monday through Friday, approximately 15 minute episodes which generally only feature The Vicar and Billy Flynn. Daily shows generally include information on geek related television, movie releases, comics, technology, Podiobooks and listener feedback. The creators aim to provide listeners with daily doses of "all the geek without all the wait".
*Weekly show
Usually released between Friday and Monday, the weekly show is of the traditionally longer podcast format (episodes between 60-90 minutes) in which the third host "The Bruce" appears. Additional elements to the weekly show include:Geeky Week-a break down of geek orientated activities which the hosts participated in (video game & RPG's played, comics read, movies seen). GRD News-announcements of local activities & news related to the GRD forums. Geek Mail-feedback section. GRD Fit Club-in which the host give updates and provide useful information regarding weight loss for geeks. Main Topic-changes from week to week. Usually a 20-40 minute segment in which the host will talk at length about one particular topic (past examples include Fall TV preview, Convention coverage,Edgar Allan Poe and Star Wars Spin-offs).Movie ratings-it should be noted that their ratings system is based on a decimal system (1-10) which they call pants (i.e. rated 8.5 pants by Billy Flynn). The pants moniker is a reference to one of the hosts pension for pantlessness.History
The current incarnation of the show has existed since March of 2008. But the roots stretch back to May 2006 when Geeklabel Podcast debuted.
*Geek Label Podcast Started in 2006 as an addendum to the Geeklabel clothier line. [http://www.geeklabel.com/] The original line up included The Vicar, Super Geek Billy, The Kingfish and visits from The Code Poet [http://www.geeklabel.com/podcast.php] . Similar to the current weekly format of the show, episodes focused on a single topic with similar segments. Their forums continued on for 2 years [http://www.geeklabel.com/forum/index.php] with 200+ members before the show changed to GRD. In 2007 the name was changed to "Geeklabel Radio" to broaden appeal beyond the podcast crowd. Geeklabel podcast ran for nearly 2 years with a specialvidcast [http://www.geeklabel.com/archives/2007/05/31/] at the culmination of the first year. The final episode (episode 70) airing in February 2008. The Geeklable brand received several mentions in the media including an appearance of one of their shirts on episode 77 ofMythbusters [http://www.geeklabel.com/media.php] .
