"Breakfast" is a live magazine style news and current affairs programme which airs on weekdays between 6:30am and 9am on TV One. The show looks at the day's headlines and events happening in New Zealand and around the world. Breakfast is a division of "One News", and both are closely linked together, sharing reporters, production teams and resources. The "Breakfast" production team also produces the "One News at Midday" bulletin.

how format

10 minutes of news, sport and weather is presented every half hour between 6:30 and 8:30. Weather, presented by Tamati Coffey is presented from a location around the country, usually where an event is happening.

Mostly, the show has interviews with newsmakers or TVNZ reporters on the day's headlines. The first hour of the show is devoted to news stories, and the rest of the show has entertainment/light-hearted/special interest segments.

Extra Shows

* Highlights of Breakfast and NZI Business screen on TVNZ 7 daily at 11:10am and 4:10pm.
* "Best of Breakfast" is a pre-recorded show hosted by either Wetzel or Henry, and has highlights of the week's programming. Screens on TV One at 7:00am on Saturdays.
