Kaznet

Kaznét — is a part of Internet in Kazakhstan in Russian and Kazakh languages. The main language in Kaznet is the Russian, therefore Kaznet is considered a part of Runet. The usage of the Kazakh language is increasing.

The term Kaznet includes the following main concepts:
* Internet resources of blast zone .kz;
* Resources of other regional zones, located on the Kazakh site providers;
* Foreign resources aimed at Kazakh audience;
* Resources of foreign representatives of Kazakhstan organizations.

History

* On 19 September, 1994 was officially registered top-level domain .kz
* In 1997 Kazakhstan's site received its first international award at the international competition «Business Website of 1997». Non-existent draft, ( [http://www.kazecon.kz] ) had become one of the winners
* Since December 24, 1996 E. Alexander Lyakhov founded the informational-educational portal "Lyakhov.KZ – Large Encyclopedia of Kaznet" ( [http://www.lyakhov.kz] )
* In 1997, by the same author Alexander Lyahovym, unofficial "father of Kazakhstan Internet", was neglected a project directory rubricator of Kazakh web resources - "The whole WWW Kazakhstan" ( [http://www.site.kz] )
* In 1998, Kazakhstan part of the Internet appeared the first online store and catalog goods Guide Park ( [http://www.gpark.com] )
* In June 1998, in the Internet appears the first site in the Kazakh language - Physico-Technical Institute MN-AN RK ( [http://www.sci.kz] )
* Since September 1998 in Kazakhstan, carried out continuous broadcasting over the Internet - broadcast transmissions Almaty city broadcasting hub via STC Almatytelekom ( [http://www.itte.kz] ) using technology RealAudio.
* In October 1998, for the first time in Kaznet system online was neglected access to university resources: "The electronic catalogue of KazGU" (the author is Mambetaliev Kamchybek). The system is used on the site [http://lib.kazsu.kz lib.kazsu.kz]
* In 1999, the IANA has appointed an international organization "Kazakh network information center" ( [http://www.nic.kz] ) as a manager on supporting of top-level domain name .kz
