Sir John Curzon, 1st Baronet

Sir John Curzon, 1st Baronet (c. 1599–December 13 1686) was an English politician who represented Derbyshire in the parliamentarian cause during the Long Parliament.

Curson was the son of John Curzon of Kedleston,and his wife Millicent Sacheveral, daughter of Sir Ralph Sacheverel of Staunton, and widow of Thomas Gell of Hopton. Curzon was created a Baronet, of Kedleston in the County of Derby, in both the Baronetage of Nova Scotia on 18 June 1636 and the Baronetage of England on 11 August 1641. He was elected as Member of Parliament for Derbyshire in November 1640 and sat in the Long Parliament until Pride's Purge in 1648.

Curzon married Patience Crewe, daughter of Sir Thomas Crewe of Stene, Northamptonshire, and had four sons and three daughters.
