Pineda was born in
Fall River Mills, California . She was raised in the town from birth, but moved toLos Angeles, California to pursue a singing career when she was 18.Music
Growing up Pineda had done local talent shows, sang in church and also in school. Her hometown came together at one time when Jamie was in her upper teens to raise money in order for her to pursue a career in Los Angeles. She was at one timesigned for a four song demo with a record company and even sang at a
Sacramento Kings basketball game during halftime in February 2006. Jamie had startedmodeling for an agency soon thereafter . Almost ready to go back to her small town, Jamie got her chance to shine when the agency called her about a casting call for a singer for the international project Sweetbox after former singerJade Valerie had left the project to embark on a solo career.=Sweetbox=Jamie auditioned for Heiko Schmidt, the executive producer of the project and immediately impressed him. Heiko invited Jamie to the studio of Bernd Burgdorf for a few test recordings the next day. Jamie signed on soon thereafter as the face of Sweetbox.
As of September 2007, Jamie had been traveling all over the globe, working with various songwriters, while also co-writing on the album, entitled 'The Next Generation'.
In May 2008, Jamie and producer, Derek Bramble started working on the album in Los Angeles, which is set for release in late 2008.
