Alaouites
Alaouites (Alawi) is a district ofSyria lying on the coast betweenHatay andLebanon .It was formerly part of theTurkish Empire but was placed under a French mandate in 1920. Itbecame an independent republic and was renamedLatakia (after the capital) in 1930. On28February 1937, it was incorporated intoSyria .Stamps of

Alaska
Largest
